Allegedly Against the Flow, Members of the TNI Killed Hit by KRL in West Jakarta

Jurnal Portal. Jakarta, a member of the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) named Taris (38) died of being hit by a Commuterline electric train (KRL) on the Jalan Latumenten Raya crossing in Tanjung Duren, West Jakarta.

Head of West Jakarta Traffic Unit AKBP Ganet Sukoco said the incident occurred Monday (10/12) at around 19:30 WIB. Taris who was riding a motorcycle with police number B 4667 TMU, said Ganet, was hit by a KRL when fighting traffic flow.

"(Motor) Moving from the south to the north against the flow, precisely at the railroad crossing," said Ganet in a brief statement in Jakarta, as quoted by Antara, Tuesday (11/12).
Ganet said that based on witness testimony, the victims from Grogol were going against the flow to turn around and get hit by number KRL 2210.


The victim, said Ganet, suffered head injuries and died at the scene. Meanwhile, the victim's motorcycle was wrecked.

The corpse of the TNI member was evacuated to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital for divisum, and then handed over to family members.
